2015 East Texas Book Fest Set for August 21-22

Two days of Workshops
Day 1, Friday, August 21 concentrates on education and learning through two tracks.
Day 2, Saturday, August 22 includes an author expo, with publishers, authors, illustrators, and writers' groups displaying and selling their works, as well as chatting with readers of all ages. Also planned are break-out sessions on a variety of topics related to writing, publishing, and literacy. The Day 2 author expo and sessions are free to the public. We expect all ages - children, teens, and adults - will want to come for this day.
Clearly this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.
Join Us for Free Family Fun!
Some 100 Texas authors who write in many genres and for all ages will display their books and chat with readers. In addition, professionals will demonstrate and explain various literacy projects for children and adults. Other experts will lead seminars to make reading more meaningful and rewarding to all and help writers improve their craft and sales. And the Tyler Lions Club will be available for vision screenings all day 10 to 3.
The Honorary Chair and featured guest speaker for the 6th annual East Texas Book Fest was Hawkins resident and international book club celebrity, Kathy L. Murphy (formerly Kathy Patrick). athy is founder of The Pulpwood Queens and Timber Guys Book Club, an international book club with 550+ chapters nationwide and in 15 foreign countries.... (Read more)
